In this oportunity I writting about the situation of the right water in Chile.
In the all long territory, Chile has 101 hydrographical basins, some of which 75 has been declared in the shortage water state. That is why we need to open discussions about "to whom the right water belong".
At present, the current legislation give insufficient protection to the local comunities and settlers, prioritizing the business comunity's interest. This make a lots of clash where mining companies has been blamed to exhausted water resource. The government have entered a reform of law, but the businessmen have neither allowed to avanced.
Chile needs modified "The water code" because is not the result of collective bargaining; it was imposed by the military dictatorship and not represent the Chilean interes.

I think that´s very important this theme because concern all people of Chile, we can´t allow that the legislation was introduce in the millitary dictatorship are concern . Down whit traces of the dictatorship!
